2018 Hurricane Season
As hurricane season speedily approaches we as a community need to start preparing. The more we prepare the less stressful it is for you and your family when a hurricane heads our way. This hurricane season is said to be an average hurricane season with fourteen named storms, seven hurricanes, and three major hurricanes (category 3 or higher) this season. It only takes one of these hurricanes to hit us to have tremendous damages to our community. It is a great benefit to prepare for these natural disasters because we can never know when a hurricane can end up at our door. Things to stock up on is water, food, flashlights, battery-powered radio, extra batteries, first aid kits, multi-purpose tool, sanitation and personal hygiene items, portable chargers for cell phones, and insect repellent and sunscreen. If a hurricane does hit our wonderful community, we want you to know that SERVPRO of Harlingen and San Benito is here to help and will make it “Like it never even happened.” So, if a hurricane does hit our community then call SERVPRO of Harlingen and San Benito at 956-277-0645 we are always available 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
